BLACKSTONE TO EXHIBIT AT CONVENIENCE STORE INDUSTRY NATIONAL MEETING IN CHICAGO
“The Latest & Greatest” At NACS Includes The Blackstone Touch & Go

The Blackstone Touch & Go System makes selling prepaid products simple for retailers. An interactive touch-screen sits on the counter and guides the customer through the process of selecting the most appropriate card for the customer’s needs from over 100 prepaid products and services. The customer then pays the cashier, who prints the product onto a thermal card after entering a secure pass code. Touch & Go allows retailers to carry a wide variety of products in a small space and frees the cashier from having to answer questions about each card’s rates and minutes. The conference, sponsored by the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS), was ranked one of the 50 largest annual trade shows in the country by Tradeshow Week. More than 24,000 industry representatives are expected to attend the exposition, including a Cool New Products Showcase, where retailers can learn about the latest product introductions, including the Blackstone Prepaid Stop.
Nationwide, there are nearly 132,000 convenience stores, employing 1.5 million workers. In 2002, the industry reported sales of $290 billion. In addition, convenience stores sell more than 70% of the gasoline purchased in the country, more than 100 billion gallons overall.
