CODETEL PRESENTS BLACKSTONE WITH AWARD FOR SALES ACHIEVEMENT DURING ISLA MARGARITA LAUNCH PARTY
Codetel International Communications Incorporated presented Blackstone with an award for sales achievement this evening during a launch party hosted by Codetel & CANTV at the Intercontinental Miami Hotel for their newest prepaid long distance product, the Isla Margarita Prepaid Calling Card.
The evening’s festivities began with Telemundo actor, Eduardo Serrano welcoming the guests and introducing Alfonso Olombrada, CANTV’s general manager who discussed the Venezuelan market and CANTV’s role as a market leader. He was followed by Codetel’s President, Leopoldo Torres and Rosalia Diaz, Codetel’s Marketing Director, who introduced the new product, Isla Margarita. During the presentation, they unveiled the company’s marketing and advertising plans which include extensive advertising in both the United States and Venezuela. Blackstone’s CFO, Joaquin Fernandez and Carlos Rodriguez, Blackstone’s Vice President spoke about Blackstone’s distribution and marketing in 2004, and reviewed plans for 2005 including sales contests & incentives sponsored by Codetel. Upon concluding their presentation, Ms. Diaz asked Mr. Fernandez and Mr. Rodriguez to rejoin her, whereupon she presented the award to Blackstone for sales achievement in 2004.
According to Rodriguez, “This was a great – and unexpected - surprise! This award recognizes the efforts of our sales team who work very hard everyday to get these products into a very competitive marketplace”.
The Isla Margarita prepaid calling card is a no connection fee card specifically designed for the US-based Venezuelan Community in Florida, or for Venezuelans to call their friends and family in Florida. The card is available in $2, $5 and $10 denominations.
