BLACKSTONE UNVEILS ‘THE RACK’ AT ETA TRADESHOW
Blackstone (www.blackstoneonline.com), one of the nation’s leading providers of electronic prepaid products and services unveiled their latest offering today at the Electronic Transaction Association’s Spring Exposition in Orlando, Florida. “The Rack” is Blackstone’s state-of-the-art electronic PIN technology which is now available for international licensing.
Angel Pacheco, Blackstone’s chief technology officer says, “We decided to offer our patent pending software to other companies due to the global demand for our technology. Our all-encompassing software hosts, manages and delivers ePIN products for any organization’s prepaid telecommunications needs, regardless of their location.”
Adds Michael D. Acton, Blackstone’s general manager, “Over the past year, companies have been coming to us asking for ways to replicate Blackstone’s success in their countries. We now have the vehicle for them to do so and are presently completing the technical requirements for companies in Colombia, Venezuela and the United Kingdom.”
In addition to the licensed software, “The Rack” will include one or more of the following components based on the company’s sizing and specific technological capabilities and needs.
o Hypercom IEN Equipment which is used to receive and process incoming terminal calls; Servers to host the ePINs until request occurs;
o Routers to determine and manage the transaction’s destination;
o Firewall to insure the integrity of the transaction and ensure delivery; and
o Switches to guide all transactions.
Earlier this year, in recognition of the Blackstone POS terminal and system’s novelty, the United States Patent Office granted Blackstone broad rights to protect its exclusive technology against market copyists. Moreover, this foundation of intellectual property extends to Blackstone proprietary hardware, software and methodology.
