Luz joins Blackstone from The Palace Management Company, one of south Florida’s leading organizations specializing in the long term care for older adults, where she was the corporate human resources manager. Prior to The Palace, Luz was the assistant office manager for American Specialty Advertising Company (AMSACO). Luz is currently completing her master’s degree in Human Resources Development at Florida International University (FIU). Beginning January 2002, Blackstone will begin recruiting, hiring and training approximately 1000 new employees as we move into our new world headquarters”. In her role as Blackstone’s human resources director, Luz will also be responsible for developing, implementing and updating personnel policies, procedures and staying abreast of laws and regulations affecting personnel issues, employment practices or trends.
