BLACKSTONE MERCHANT SERVICES SELECTS SECURITYMETRICS FOR PCI INITIATIVE
SALT LAKE CITY (November 19, 2009) – Blackstone Merchant Services announced today that they have partnered with SecurityMetrics, making Blackstone the latest Independent Service Organization (ISO) to adopt SecurityMetrics’ PCI Site Certification Services to bring its merchant portfolio into compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS is a comprehensive set of global security requirements developed by the PCI Security Standards Council in order to safeguard cardholder data worldwide. The organization was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB International, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa, Inc.
SecurityMetrics’ unique flat-fee, unlimited-support program helps bank acquirers and ISOs simplify, accelerate and maximize PCI validation for their merchant accounts.
SecurityMetrics’ also offers multilingual capabilities, including Spanish editions of the PCI self-assessment questionnaire and Spanish-speaking compliance consultants and technical support personnel, which will be a benefit to servicing Blackstone’s large Hispanic customer base, which exceeds 3,000 merchants.
Blackstone’s merchants will work with compliance specialists who will determine their data security status and risk, then match each business to the right PCI validation requirements, and suggest security improvements to simplify each merchant’s PCI compliance efforts.
